The simple things in life

To be able to enjoy your life and be simply happy doesn’t sound so simple at all. Many people say they will be happy when this happens or when that special person comes into their life or when they get a promotion. The problem with this attitude is that you will probably never be simply happy in your life. There is always something else waiting for us when we accomplish a goal.

Many of us don’t see how lucky we are to be alive, to be healthy, to have a job, to have food on the table and a roof above our heads. These things are taken so much for granted, just because these things are the ‘basics’ of life. When as a matter of fact, THAT is luxury.

It is a luxury to be alive in a free country, where you can speak your mind and do what you want. It is a BIG LUXURY to be healthy, walking and running and talking and moving and playing and working and traveling and reading without feeling any pain or being limited. It is a luxury to have food in your stomach and going to sleep in a warm bed. It is a luxury to have clothes to choose from in the morning, clean water to drink, and be able to go to the movies once in a while.

If you can not see how lucky you are now, you will never be happy. The attitude that you show when you have the “simple” things in life with bring you the “bigger” things you desire. Going on a holiday far away, lying on the beach, sipping on your cocktail will mean nothing and it won’t even add anything to your happiness if you are not well.

Luxury is when you recognize how lucky you are and how blessed you are in your daily life. Anything else that comes after that is just a temporary happy thing. It won’t keep you satisfied for the rest of your life.

How many times do you feel sad when coming back from a very nice holiday, or when a great party just finished, or when you phone broke and you have to get a new one. Temporary happiness is fine and you need some of that in your life, but don’t let it take your focus away from the true happiness that you already have.

In the end the simple things in life are what count the most.

Monday Motivation

Another beautiful morning, how much I’m grateful for writing another blog. WELCOME MONDAY!

I got motivated by two videos I saw last week of Les Brown. He is amazing and when he speaks his words just hit you…. REAL HARD. Like BAM!!! He is so powerful and when I listen to him, his words always touch me. No matter what mood I’m in. He always manages to move something within me, a power, something starts to itch. I JUST WANT TO GET UP AND SCREAM

I           CAN                DO                 THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I (highly!!!!!) recommend you all to go and watch these two videos:

Video 1: Keep digging

Video 2: Negative people

A zen story

A man walking in the night slipped and fell from a rocky path. Afraid he

would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that just at the edge

of the path was a very deep valley, he grabbed hold of a branch that was

overhanging the edge. In the darkness of night all he could see below him

was a bottomless abyss. He shouted and his own shout was reflected

back– there was nobody to hear him.

You can imagine that man, and his whole night of torture. Every

moment there was death below, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing

his grip… but he managed to hold on, and as the sun came out he

looked down… and he laughed! There was no abyss. Just six inches

below his feet there was a rock ledge. He could have rested the whole

night, slept well– the ledge was big enough– but instead, the

whole night was a nightmare.

The fear is not more than six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you

want to go on clinging to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or

whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.

There is nothing to fear.

Monday Motivation

It’s time for my weekly MONDAY MOTIVATION

Today I would like to blog about a popular QUOTE! A quote that has been written by many successful people, It is a motivation for many out there. However, I do not agree with this quote. WHY? Well I have a mind of my own and I would like to also think about what these successful (and I’m sure they are pretty amazing) people’s quotes. The reason for this is because, there is still some negativity in some of the quotes. They are good, but still I wouldn’t apply them for myself. Simple. I also don’t like to take whatever people say as true. Again very SIMPLE, I would like to know what I allow into my mind.

SO here we go THE most (I think) used quote of all time:

QUOTE 2

Ok. Why? Why does the struggle needs to be SOOOO HARD so I can achieve success?

When some people read this, and they take it in as true, (because their role models experienced this) they will start experiencing failure in their own life. AND big chances are that they might experience this for a very long time. Until.. Untillll THE PAIN IS SO PAINFUL THEY CAN’T HANDLE IT ANYMORE. Then they will start their journey to success… BUT when will that happen? How will they get out of the pain? Probably by searching for solutions. But why taking this long route to success? YOU can enjoy your life and be successful. Two in one my friends… and the more success you see in your life the more SUCCESSFUL you will be. Isn’t that just easier, more fun, and super AWESOME?

Of course you can have some obstacles along the way, and you have to pass them with positive energy and thinking. But come onnnnnn whyyy theee struggleeee (Rolling my eyes).

“I ACHIEVE SUCCESS WITH EASE AND GRACE, WITH PASSION AND LOVE, WITH JOY AND HAPPINESS”
